The Shop For Photographers
What is it you need help with?
As creative entrepreneurs, we are driven by passion and put so much of our time and energy into building businesses that thrive for us.
However, where we often fail is our care to build businesses that thrive for our clients.
Our photos can be compositionally stellar and beautiful, artistic, and unique, but they alone aren’t able to convey our brand’s purpose. The words we use and images we share throughout our website and other branding platforms have the power to connect us with our audience on a deeper level and fill our calendars with work we’re excited about.
Together, let’s transform your business
Since the inception of my photography business, I have spent countless hours and dollars trying to figure out how to attract my dream projects. I’ve invested thousands in branding consulting, web designers, and marketing education, all to end up at the same place I started before I emptied my wallet.
“What am I doing wrong?! Why aren’t I receiving inquiries that excite me? Why aren’t I booking the projects I dream of?“
All of my failures came down to one thing: my brand message. It didn’t matter how much money I spent on making things look pretty, I was missing out on opportunity for growth and fulfillment because my website wasn’t speaking to my target market.
So, I got to work. I bought and read books, listened to hundreds of podcasts, and invested in mentor sessions and styled shoots to build my dream business. I did all of that work – hundreds of hours of time and energy – then boiled it down into accessible resources so you didn’t have to!!

The Copy Guide for Photographers
Writing to sell a product or service takes so much more than creating connection… you have to gain trust and build up enough momentum that your audience can’t help but need what you’re offering! Sales copy is all about the art of persuasion, and with that so many of us have no idea where to start.
Good copy can transcend your brand, but it takes time and skill. Hiring a professional copywriter can be expensive, and many photographers just want to (and should) be able to take the reins into their own hands.
I’ve created this guide not only to show other photographers how to write for their brand in a unique and authoritative way, but also to help them transform their businesses into something they can be proud of.
- Defining what copy is (and what it isn’t) and why it’s important
- An introduction to plagiarism and why you should avoid it
- Descriptions the most important elements that make good copy
- An introduction to SEO and how to optimize the copy on your website
- A simple step-by-step template for writing copy any place, any time
- Endless tips and suggestions for making your copy stand out from the sea of other photographers
May 2021 Content Day
With two, fully styled elopement stories, attendees will leave with two complete elopement galleries to uplevel their portfolio and attract those dream projects.
Because only 12 tickets are available, the content day will be a quiet and intimate space, giving all attendees the time and space to direct each vignette in their own, unique way, and leave with images they are truly proud to call their own.
The goal of the day is to refresh our spirits, fuel our creativity, and generate new, life-long connections in this beautiful industry!
- Two full-day elopement stories each composed of four separate vignettes: morning-of, getting ready, ceremony, and reception
- Fresh headshots (taken by myself) to freshen up your brand for the new year
- Catered lunch and snacks throughout the day
- Professional connections & new friendships!
Where will the content day be hosted, and how long will it last?
The entire day will be hosted at The Kester Homestead, which is located in Memphis, NY. All vignettes will be set up and captured on the premises, so there will be no need to travel between shoots!
I will be sending more detailed itinerary as well as driving and parking instructions to all attendees around a week before the content day, but I anticipate the day will last around 8-10 hours.
How many photographers are attending?
Because we’re still dealing with a pandemic and because it’s so important to me that every creative has a turn to direct each vignette, I am only selling 12 tickets to this content day.
Attendees will be broken up into smaller work groups to keep everyone spaced out + to allow space to fuel your own creativity!
Will I be able to photograph both elopement stories?
Yes, absolutely! The whole idea of this day is for each attendee to leave with two complete galleries as though they photographed two, separate elopement days.
Attendees will be broken up into four work groups of three, and the groups will take turns rotating through the vignettes.
Why the $$?
It’s really important to me that all of the vendors who contribute their time + resources to making this day both possible and beautiful are compensated fairly. Not only are working tirelessly all day to give you something beautiful for your portfolio, but they are also styling TWO FULL elopement days from start to finish – which is amazing.
The personal styled shoots I’ve set up have completely transformed my elopement business, but I’ll be honest I paid hundreds (or thousands in some cases) more than this ticket price to make them happen.
Both elopements are going to be incredible, and without a doubt you’ll see the return of investment in your own bookings!
Are you offering a payment plan?
Yes! Each applicant can decide whether they wish to pay for their ticket in full at booking, or in two installments. If you select to pay in two installments, the first will be due when you book, and the second (and final) will be due one month before the content day.
What if I can no longer attend after I book my ticket?
Each attendee ticket is non-refundable, but you can sell your ticket to someone else!
